Magdrive delivers Flight Model to D-Orbit

Magdrive has taken a major step towards the first In-Orbit Demonstration of the Magdrive Rogue propulsion system by delivering the first Flight Models to D-Orbit in Milan.

Initial functional and integration testing of the two thrusters has already been completed and our Flight team is working with D-Orbit to ensure mission readiness. D-Orbit will now complete environmental testing of this payload integrated into the D-Orbit ION carrier.

The Magdrive Rogue is our revolutionary new pulsed plasma thruster which contains a complete propulsion system, including solid metal propellant within a small form factor suited to microsats. During the course of the mission, a pair of Magdrives will be used to execute manoeuvres and demonstrate capabilities. This In-Orbit Demonstration is funded by the European Space Agency’s ScaleUp programme.

The fully integrated ION Carrier will be shipped to the United States for launch in Q2 2025
